Planning a trip to Muskoka: the essentials

Almost every trip to cottage country begins with the same three questions: how long is the drive, which vehicle do we actually need, and what happens if the flight is late. The drive from Toronto Pearson to central Muskoka runs roughly two to two and a half hours in ordinary conditions, longer on Friday evenings, Sunday afternoons, holiday long weekends and autumn colour Saturdays. Vehicle choice follows luggage more often than passenger count, and a flight-monitored pickup removes the third question entirely because your chauffeur waits for the aircraft rather than the clock.

Airport arrivals and the meet-and-greet process
